Your Views On What’s Making News

In the first edition we have, Vishesh Jain of BBS 2nd Year, expressing his views on the controversy surrounding Barack Obama getting a Nobel Peace Prize

BARACK OBAMA AND THE NOBEL DRAMA”
Mahatma Gandhi did not get one. Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa got one after years of hard work and toil. Mayawati wants one. And now, the most powerful man on the planet has got one!

The felicitation of the US President as this year’s winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, clearly illustrates how the world persists as a puppet, which its string being pulled by Uncle Sam. The committee defends its decision by saying that Obama’s policies on Disarmament and World Affairs are extremely promising, but it fails to realize that there is much difference between actions and words. The Obama regime is still in its nascent stages and giving him the Nobel Prize, because his policies are a departure from his predecessor’s is grossly unfair towards more worthy personalities who have strived in their respective fields for decades.

Obama’s own ‘humble acceptance’ of the award, makes him worthy of another award; next year’s Oscar nominations (who knows he might even win!). However, Mr. President, remember that a former Nobel Peace Prize Winner, wisely said, ‘Greatness is defined by deeds not awards’.
